Kaichou wa Maid-sama! web radio broadcast: START!!

Maybe a random update but TBS has updated its site for a web radio broadcast for the series! It will direct you to Geneon’s website, which is here.

The first broadcast was a public recording at the Tokyo International Anime Fair event on April 2 (featuring guests: Nobuhiko Okamoto, Kana Hanazawa and Yuu Kobayashi) and it will be renewed on April 9th, 2010.

The radio are hosted by Akemi Kanda Ayumi Fujimura and Kazuyoshi Shiibashi. You can send in your thoughts or participate in the segments of the web radio (Serifu Jingle: send in your imaginary(?) dialogues of what Misaki and Yukimura would say and Ano Hito wa XX-sama!: where you can send in entries of people around that resembles the characters of the series~)

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! PV up!

Hi there! The promotional video broadcasted at the 77th Comiket is already up at TBS’s official website for the series. It can be found here.

[Commentary]
The key visual is disappointing but I’ll see how the entire adaptation is handled, considering the voice cast used, I doubt I’ll have much fun with the anime compared to the drama CDs.

[Update #1]: The series is expected to air in April 2010!

Voice cast for Kaichou wa Maid-sama! announced!

Hi there~ I’m excited but then not so excited anymore for the cast of the anime adaptation… Okay, after being tipped off in Wikipedia, I checked 2ch whether it is true or not so the following has been referenced from the magazine scan that someone uploaded 😀 The link can be found here: http://gedo.newsplus.jp/bbs/moepic/img/1260275780/23.jpg

Ayumi Fujimura will be voicing our dear Misaki-chan, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Usui, Hiromi Igarashi as Aoi Hyoudou, Aki Toyosaki as Satsuki, Kana Asumi and Kana Ueda as Honoka and Subaru respectively, last but not least, Mariya Ise as Erika.

In 2ch, someone complained about this casting since the original drama CD casting was good enough. Some even laughed at the casting while some said it was a waste and the voice cast was too plain. (Sorry if I got it wrong here, my Japanese isn’t good enough for more detailed explanation >_<)

The PV for the anime adaptation will be broadcasted in the Winter Comiket in TBS’s booth ahead of time 😀

The ending theme will be done by heidi. whom are a visual kei band. You can find their official site here: http://heidi-net.com/top.php

Will add more information later, since I’ll be cooking lunch 😀

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! staff list announced!

Hi there! I didn’t realise that this was already up but I was lurking around the Japanese Wikipedia and there’s a change in my watchlist for Kaichou wa Maid-sama!’s page, it was updated with a staff list and a link to TBS’s page for the series!

Okay, for starters, the series is going to be animated by J.C.Staff, directed by Hiroaki Sakurai, series composition by Mamiko Ikeda, animation character designs by Yuki Imoto and music composed by Tōru Motoyama.

Personally, I have yet to watch any of Sakurai-san’s work as well as Motoyama-san’s music composition and Imoto’s character designs. For Ikeda-san, I’ve watched a number of series that were under (or at least scripts written) her, Keroro Gunso, Princess Tutu, Emma and Midori Days.

About J.C. Staff, they are absolutely great! I first saw J.C.Staff in R.O.D The TV then Honey and Clover and Nodame Cantabile! They were great in doing justice to a mangaka’s artwork. Not to mention both Honey and Clover and Nodame Cantabile~ This company doesn’t have a distinct animation style but rather has the style of bringing out the original creator’s style of art to life.

Tokyo Broadcasting System’s page for Kaichou wa Maid-sama! is already up here. The page’s image was first seen as the cover art of chapter 2 =) The series will be co-broadcasted by Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) and BS-TBS~

[Edit]: I searched around the Net and found out that Yuki Imoto will be doing her first animation character designs for the series. She’s previously done key animation for Shakugan no Shana, Honey and Clover, R.O.D The TV and Nodame Cantabile, just to name a few.

Tōru Motoyama’s name isn’t Satoshi Motoyama (he has the same characters as the Japanese F1 racing driver of the said name but the only difference between their names are that their pronunciation is different.) as stated in Anime News Network’s encyclopaedia.

[Note by Mariko]: Sakurai-san directed the anime adaptation of Daa! Daa! Daa! or also known as UFO Baby.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! official site renewed!

Hi again! I checked the official site for Kaichou wa Maid-sama and I found them renewed with a few pages~

Nothing much to say except for the ‘Story/Characters’ page where you can find the entire cast of characters in colour and the flash introduction where you can switch between the Kaichou version or the Maid version. So sweet seeing my favourite manga being animated (Onryou Amaya: If the animation company mess this up with some lame story like Gonzo did with S.A -Special A-, they are going to lose one fan with a letter to Fujiwara-sensei…)~

Again, if you forgot the link, just go here.

Hakusensha’s Kaichou wa Maid-sama official site opened!

You can visit it here! No information has been added, however, it is noted that the latest news can be found in LaLa. They usually announce it beforehand in the serializing magazine. Watch out!
